Gian Rizzo-Castillo (He/Him)- POP Program Coordinator
Gianfranco Rizzo is a new Philadelphia resident by way of San Pedro Sula, Honduras that has experience with bilingual communication and education, tying it to an approach that focuses on Latin American QTBIPOC individuals. Living in the United States since 2018, Gianfranco grew up in an environment that was hypermasculine, anti-queer, and followed religious practices very closely. After graduating high school and being able to experience a different environment and culture, Gianfranco was determined to make sure he assists in educating people on issues that can pertain to anybody’s identity.
Gianfranco has worked in the past as a certified Spanish Medical Interpreter with over 3 years experience, studied the English language for over 15 years, and managed to work closely with organizations to provide educational resources to communities that need it, such as AFeT (Asociacion Feminista Trans) and the Central American Collective. With experience in marketing, public speaking, and immigration services, Gianfranco is focused on providing outreach that aligns to Galaei’s values of providing to the QTBIPOC community of Philadelphia.
