Corem Coreano
Corem Coreano is a QUEER, Puerto Rican, Multi-Disciplinary Artist from North Philadelphia. Corem has been working in the Non-Profit field for over five years and has first hand experience in youth leadership, development, recruitment, and retention. A former teaching artist, Corem incorporates the arts into their everyday life and encourages youth to heal through creative outlets of expression. As a former GALAEI youth, Corem is passionate about the work that needs to be continued in order for our communities to thrive. They are currently the SPLAT (Student Power Leadership & Activism Together) manager at Galaei. Additionally, Corem is committed to building a brighter tomorrow for Queer Youth in Philadelphia. In the last few years Corem has presented at highly attended conferences such as Creating Change. Along with Urban Creators, Corem was able to help with Hurricane Maria Relief in Puerto Rico. They are also certified in Mindfulness for Educators and recently became Trauma Informed through the Bartol Foundation and are excited to implement what they’ve learned within GALAEI.
